Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Aswan from Luxor and the Aswan Travel representative and then transferred to the Aswan airport for the flight to Cairo where you will be met and transferred to discover the pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure. We then continue with a visit to the Great Sphinx, a pharaoh’s head with a lion’s body, which dates back to the time of Chefren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the pyramids of Chefren.
Continue to have lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo.
Afterwards, you will continue to enjoy a trip to the Egyptian Museum with artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare 5000 year old collection of art which is considered to be the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world. More than 250,000 authentic artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun’s collection of treasures, gold and jewelry that was held in his tomb for over 3,500 years before being discovered in 1920 when his tomb was excavated.
Head to Coptic Cairo for information on Christian and Jewish heritage through the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Continue to Islamic Cairo where you can explore Khan El Khalili, the old bazaar of Cairo. Finally, you will be transferred to Cairo airport for your return flight to Aswan and then to your hotel.
